Trouble: Two motorists reported a small group of juveniles throwing rocks at cars in the 1200 block of Ridge Avenue, Tuesday. Neither driver believed their car was damaged, but one of them parked his car up the street and then walked back to the residence and spoke with one of the kids involved and said the others had gone inside a house. Police spoke with the juveniles involved as well as their parents.

Time to go: A Harvard Avenue resident had told police there was a man on her property who wouldn’t leave, and when they got there officers said he was leaning against a car parked in front of her residence, Tuesday. The man said he’d lost his keys in her yard and was looking for them. While they were talking to him police said the man became belligerent, yelling at them and the woman who they said “appeared intoxicated and continued to scream and act turbulent.” She said the two of them had been dating for several years and he threw his keys in the yard at some point and was looking for them and wanted her to turn her porch light on but she refused and said she wanted him gone. Police said while they were talking to her she went on a tirade about how “all men stick together” and went inside and slammed the door. Officers located the man’s car keys and he left, and when he did the woman came back out yelling about “several life problems.” Police told her to go back inside and stop causing problems.

A female who was present said she was with the male since Monday afternoon and woke up to find him on his knees, laying against the bed. She said she’s known him for a couple years but she didn’t know his name though she did have his date of birth. He was issued a drug treatment form.

Bye bye: A Welleseley Avenue resident said two women were fighting in his basement, and if they couldn’t get along he wanted them gone, Tuesday. Officers stood by while the two women gathered a few belongings and left the area on foot.

Dog issues: A Glendwell Road resident was upset because a dog was in its owner’s yard on Wilma Avenue without a leash, Tuesday. She said the owner had another dog on a leash and she asked her to put the dog that was running loose in the house until she passed by, but the owner told her it wouldn’t leave the property. The Glendwell Road resident told police the leash law should be enforced, but officers said as long as the dog stays in its owner’s yard there is nothing to enforce.

Booked: Treshaun Withers, 24, 342 Orr St., Weirton, possession of drugs and possesion of drug paraphernalia, Tuesday. Police took Withers into custody after a traffic stop at the intersection of Franklin and Wellesley avenues. In addition to an outstanding warrant, police allege Withers had a bag of crack, a piece of tin foil molded into a makeshift pipe and a bag of marijuana in his possession when he was arrested.

Fraud: A Brilliant woman told deputies someone tried to open an account with Truist Bank in her name, Tuesday. She said she got three letters from the bank and when she called the number on the letters, they refused to give her information because she wouldn’t provide her Social Security number. She located a Truist branch in Wheeling that she called and an employee there told her her Social Security number had been stolen and someone had tried to open an account online, and the reason she received the letters was the bank requires two forms of identification which the alleged perpetrator couldn’t provide.
